1st pass

Hey all! Here is my first and secondish pass of my thesis. Its comin to guys! I must admist the crit did go a little rougher than I thought but good news is that is has spark and is appealing to that faculty....they loved the the end at that point she gets the flower and on. The main critique was the points she gets poked and kicked. I am taking the kicking part out and probably making it to where she is dodging the bow more and she falls back. Well heres the link.

hey guys...its been awhile but heres is a first pass at character emotions test. I knock these out in a day and a half. HOpefully tomorrow I will get them completley in spline tomorrow and render them suckas. I am feelin the pressure.. Sony is comign to the crit on friday.....which is basically an interview and I only have a couple of days.....scary stuff. Well here they are

Character Turnarounds

Well I just got out of my first senior faculty critique. It certainly let me know what is to be expected from future faculty critiques. The three things I need to change are the eye textures, make his hat more square and masculine I suppose, his brows down a little bit, and make her flower stamens thicker. Well back to the grindstane! I am still playing around with the idea of naming her Luna... Do you guy's like Luna or Tasi better? Let me know.

Hey Hey, Its been a long time since I have posted anything here. Well heres a first pass textures of my chars. They are pretty rough still but its a start none the less. Let me know what ya think.

Well here is my violin. It took me longer to model this than the characters. Well now I just need to finish my characters and then the environment. Hopefully only a week left or so on modeling and then....ANIMATION!!!!!!!!!!!

Well its been a crazy couple of weeks. If it wasn't computer problems, roommates problems, or car problems, it was somethin else. But I have managed to get some work done on my thesis. Here is an update on my chars. I am going to start on my props now. I hope to get my modeling done mostly by end of july. ha ha long shot.






I just came across a new clip of pixars new short in front of wall.e. At first glance I was not impressed but it really impressed. I loved the bunny char. Check it out.

I just came across some amazing information. Richard Williams is going to release a "Animation MasterClass" dvd set. I can't wait to get my hands on them. Here is a link to his site. As of right now nothing is there but will be hopefully after june 8th. The Animator Survival Kit

Ok I came across this the other day and thought I would post it. It is a new song for the new upcoming disney movie "The princess and the frog" Randy Newman is composing the score for the movie and when I heard this it made me all giddy. I am really exited abou the jazz theme that they are going for. I can't tell you how stoked I am about this movie. The wait is almost Unbearable. I have become such a disney nut this year. Seeing pictures and concept for this movie along with Rapunzel has brought me back to my childhood with the thrill of watching my favorite movie "little mermaid" for the first time. I hope you enjoy.



I also am going to post some on my figure drawings from this last semester. It was really a rewarding class for me to take. I have noticed a great improvement in my drawing. I want to take it again next year and get further study. Hopefully it won't kill me like it did last semester.

Wow I haven't posted in a looonngg time. Last semester kept me extremely busy. There were points where I didn't know right from left my mind was so scattered. I will start off with talking about kung fu panda! I was skeptical about this at first from a few things I have seen, but I just saw this clip and made me change my mind completely. I even went out and ordered the art of kung fu panda book which by the way is probably the best art of book I have seen. They did an amazing job with it. characterdesign.blogspot.com talked about it on their website and posted a video that showed some really amazing pictures from the book. So check out the link to the clip. It is pure awsomeness!!! really. I am hoping that dreamworks really hit it home with this one. They made a character you can empathise with and most importantly... Care about him.

Last thing I want to mention before I talk about ringling is... Check out the new podcast with ken duncan at animationpodcast.com. James Baxter also has three interviews on their that are pure gold. If anyone is seriously interested in becoming a good animator than what he has to is invaluable. I have listened to them three times. I think thats it for now.

Well I am an official senior at ringling now! It was definately an amazing year for me. I was very blessed and noticed I matured greatly as an artist as well as a person. Here is a link to my lipsync. I know its been awhile since I have posted anything but better late than never! It definately is not finished. I plan on working it A LOT more over the summer. I have started diligently trying to work on my thesis. It has been a battle for every second I get to wrok on it because my mother has kept me pretty busy with her own side projects on top of helping out with the office eeek a 24 hour business that never stops. But I have managed to get a good start. Here are some pics.
